Phils Win! Phils Win!

Last night was ridiculously awesome!! The Phils won their first championship that I can remember! (I was alive in 1980, but was only 3 at the time) It was a really exciting end to the series and after the game I was pretty pumped.. So Susan and I loaded up the kids in the car and went up to the city to party with 1.4 million of our closest friends...

There was so much craziness going on that my camera from my car, just doesn't do it any justice..
People were absolutely EVERYWHERE!  People were running, skipping, and dancing down the sidewalks and streets.  Everyone was yelling and cheering.  Everyone in a car was honking thei
r horns.  Last night, it was truly a city of brotherly love.  Random people were hugging each other and giving high fives.  I must have dealt out a couple hundred of them from my car.

This guy was awesome!  He was walking down the middle of the street yelling, "No more next year! No more next year!"  Then he took off his shirt and starting flexing in the street!

The chicken guy might have been my favorite!  He came up to our car and gave us high fives! Then saw Zoe in the backseat, who was awake, but barely.  He said to her, "Don't Fall Asleep!  You have to remember this!  Don't go to sleep!"  Awesome!  I hope that is her first real memory.

Philatubbies?

There was some craziness of course... I love the look on the guy doesn't even seem to care that people are dancing on his truck.
Then of course there was some stupidity.  This guy climbed to the top of a light pole to grab a flag!  Thankfully he was sober enough to climb back down safely.
And these guys were awesome.  Susan said, "I prepared by getting a cake, these guys prepared by putting a golf cart in the back of a pickup!"  They were playing music and just driving around.
CBP from 95 on the way home!  Way to go Phils!

Jenna, thats so awesome that you guys went! It made the victory so much more meaningful when you put it in the context of the city...

It meant so much to everyone up there and it was such a great unifying thing.. truly beautiful!

JESSICA! It's the curse of Billy Penn, not Ben Franklin. LOL.

I wasn't going to say anything, but the curse was officially broken by Comcast...

When they built their new building (which is the tallest in Philly) they put a miniature statue of William Penn on top.. Since then we've won the Arena Bowl and The World Series... I'm thinking the Eagles are going all the way now

So when you get your new higher bills from Comcast.. just remember.. they broke the curse :)

John went to the parade...he was 4th back from the street. My niece and the high school marching band she is in (Interboro, the Buccaneers) were in the parade and were apparently on Fox news in the morning.
